Four years ago, on May 27th, 2019, two young music enthusiasts, Effy Adshead and Zico Youash would join forces to start First Class Collective, a record label geared toward artists big and small in the vaporwave scene and beyond into the experimental sides of music.
The fourth year had a steady flow of cassettes from artists big and small, along with a vinyl release by James Ferraro with their “Hacker Track” album. On July 1st, 2022, First Class Collective released its 100th digital album: Agrume’s “Love Beam”, a greatest hits album filled with classic future funk that has hit the millions on Artzie Music back then. 75 tapes were sold in 6 hours.
Another big milestone is taking part in the 3rd Vaporwave Tape Swap and ElectroniCON 3 where Effy and Zico flew to New York City to unite with the vaporwave community with their tapes, records, and even Walkmans, and what they got in return is tapes swapped, more music, and memories that will last a lifetime.
As the fourth year of First Class Collective comes to an end, it is now time to celebrate our fourth anniversary of First Class Collective. Just like what we have done last year, we again bring you the greatest hits the talented First Class Artists have brought to you; all in a cassette tape and a digital download.
Consider this our "Thank You for Another Great First Class Year", and "Best of Luck for the Future". We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your nonstop support, acknowledgment, advice, UwUings, promotions, and so forth.
