Two years ago, on May 27th, 2019, two high schoolers Ethan Adshead (MiddleClassComfort) and Zico Youash would join forces to start First Class Collective, a record label geared towards artists big and small in the vaporwave scene and beyond into the experimental sides of music.
Even in challenging times, First Class Collective has released more albums during their second year between 2020 and 2021 compared to their first year between 2019 and 2020, along with releasing more physical mediums than ever; from the humble cassettes and the CDs to the VHS tapes and a vinyl release.
Throughout the past two years, the label and its artists have been recognized and gained a lot of fame, along with joining forces with other labels for even bigger releases -- from Pacific Plaza Records to My Pet Flamingo -- in addition to the endorsements from other labels and vaporwave valedictorians alike.
As the second year of First Class Collective comes to an end, it is now time to celebrate our second anniversary of First Class Collective. Just like what we have done last year, we again bring you the greatest hits of the talented First Class Artists have brought to you; all in a cassette tape and a digital download.
Consider this our "Thank You for Another Great First Class Year", and "Best of Luck for the Future". We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your nonstop support, acknowledgment, advice, UwUings, promotions, and so forth.
